Research fellow Olivia Kirtley: "The consequences of not being able to replicate suicide and mental health research are very, very serious" Even though it has not been immune from the replicability and transparency problems that have affected many other disciplines, there has not yet been wide-scale adoption of Open Science practices in medicine and clinical psychology. Olivia Kirtley, a postdoctoral research fellow at the KU Leuven Center for Contextual Psychiatry, is hopeful that will change soon. "A huge motivator to preregister, for me, is the fact that my research centres on suicide."
