| The clinical and epidemiological research of the Research Unit Hypertension and Cardiovascular Epidemiology focuses on hypertension, heart failure, chronic kidney disease, the macro- and micro-circulation and environmental pollution as main drivers of mortality, morbidity and years with high quality of life lost. The Research Unit conducts observational studies in populations and cohorts of patients or workers, association studies with case-control design and coordinates randomised controlled clinical trials. |
